Bobby Crisp from Deluxe Industries in New Zealand has been busy building more beautifully detailed balsa boards. He loves fine inlays and wood details. He used to be in windy wet Wellington , but has moved as far south in the even colder South Island as you can go before dropping off the end of the world. The cold hasn't cooled his passion for these great boards.
Bobby Crisp has found that Wellington wasn't windy and cold enough so has moved south to the south eastern corner of the South Island to set up shop. Mate I lived in Dunedin in the late 70's and she can have some harsh winters , so I hope you survive down there in the Catlins. This is where New Zealands big wave surfers seek out large cold swells straight from the Artic South Pole so if the wind chill doesn't get you the waves will. Nice.Anyway Bobby will be here on the Gold Coast for the Wooden Board Day at the Alley on Sunday 8th of August to warm up and enjoy a few waves once again.

Bobby Crisp , came to last years Wooden Board Day and turned up with some very intricate inlay boards , which is something he seems to specialise in and do very well. He is flat out building and finishing boards to bring to the Fish Fry.
Bobby Crisp from Wellington New Zealand has just started a raffle to raise funds for the Samoan Tsunami Appeal. $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20 to win a wooden surfboard to the value of $2,000. Raffle closes 22nd October, winner drawn 23rd October.

gun which is waiting for a good swell...maybe this week .
