Just bonzers… and a couple of single fins

My current mobile quiver… on the left 8’2” Supaglide trihull single fin (for sale), on the top the new 6’4” FreakFish, underneath an MC 6’0” Bumble bee Bonzer 3 but with an 8” Soulflex (which I find works much better backhand on the 3 fin set up), and on the bottom a 6’4” McCoy Nugget with a Starfin which gets wet whenever the waves get really hollow and the only order of the day is barrel riding…

Supaglide gets wet…

8’2” x 21 1/16” x 2 7/8” – trihull  single fin. Catches waves really easily, beautiful take offs, glides smoothly and turns from any where on the board. Hope to make some more of these for those people who want the advantages of a long board but don’t want to have to adapt their style. This is a test board so if you want to try it just let me know, and you can take it for a spin. It is also available for sale, huge saving at £600, used but as new.  £350 now well used but still in good condition and rides beautifully. Everyone who has tried seems to have got barreled on it which can't be bad!

Supaglide resin tint

Hot coat, pen-artwork, and gloss and polish to go. Should see the Supaglide 8’2” single fin tri-hull entering the water sometime towards the end of the month.

SupaGlide gets it bottom tinted…

Glassed the bottom of the SupaGlide today… went for an amber base with a red/amber/black swirl on the nose. Glassing the deck on Friday and debating the raw-lap route in dark amber. Its going to get double pinlines on the deck and some on the bottom to bring out the tri-hull… probably some custom pen-work too… It’s going to be a single fin with a 10” box.

SupaGlide en route…

Shaped this evening – really pleased with how it came out. I wanted to create a short longboard that would glide and carve really easily from where-ever you stand on the board. The widse point is quite rear of middle to enable this preventing the rails digging in as they would with a more nose riding oriented template.

SupaGlide – looking very promising

Well i decided to try out that tri-hull I had always wanted to on my new mid length model, the Supa Glide. 8’2” x 21 1/16” x 2 5/8”… the board cut beautifully under the watchful eye of Phil Clifford at Ocean Magic. Shaping it tonight… very excited about this one.

Blunt one for Lucas

6’8 x 21 3/3 x 2 1/2 Blunt Diamond EVO3 for Lucas… made this one out of a superlight blank from South Africa… was harder to shape but came up sweet…

Deck channels are a new thing especially for Lucas which should also add strength, decrease weight, and anchor that front foot nicely…

I feel a tri-hull coming on…

Inspired by this ad many years ago… it’s one on my shaping list that I plan to fulfil in the very near future!
