80s Wavekraft by Nigel Woodcock

A recent find, a classic 1986/7 thruster shaped by Nigel Woodcock for Wavekraft in Newquay. Nigel learnt his trade working for Mooney McAllum and Nigel Semmens at Ocean Magic in the early 80s. This board is one of his pro-series thrusters, with typical square tail, gloss finish, all important channels and 80s spray job with airbrushed blocks and angles, splatters and printed circles. It also has some classic day-glo stickers. Its quite a contemporary plan shape for its time, although it has a bit more width in the tail, boxier rails and flatter rocker than early 90s boards. 6ft x 19 3/4 x 2 1/2. Nigel sponsered a lot of up and coming Newquay surfers including Russell and Dean Winter on ultra light pro models.
