The D'Arcy Surfboards Factory gets a visit from the year 12 girls at All Saints Anglican School...
This afternoon Brooke, Bronte, Mia and Alex from All Saints Anglican School dropped in to the D'Arcy Factory to interview Stuart D'Arcy for their year 12 Business Assignment....they got a full factory tour, met some of the staff and chatted at length to D'Arcy himself about everything from what tools are used to make surfboards, how we deal with quality control and what shipping methods we use to name a few....I think the girls left knowing a lot more about surfboards, their construction and our business practices than when they came in....
Sadly, they did miss Kye D'Arcy (our very talented board artist - see posts below) which was maybe part of the reason they chose D'Arcy Surfboards to base their Business Assignment on....or maybe not??? You judge for yourself....(see pics below)

Darren from Neverland Bar picks up his new D'Arcy stick....
Darren collaborated with D'Arcy on this surfboard by custom painting the foam to Darren's own design (see previous post for all the action). He was so stoked this afternoon when he came in to pick it up....he couldn't wait to get out there...!!!Go and say hi to the boys (Jonny and Darren) at Neverland Bar in Coolangatta sometime....if you haven't checked it out yet then you're definitely missing out....tell 'em at the door that 'Darc' sent ya and you'll get free entry...

John Anderson and D'Arcy in the shaping bay....
One of our biggest promoters in Victoria would have to be this guy, John Anderson!! He has been selling more D'Arcy Surfboards in Victoria purely by word of mouth than many surf shops could...originally from Hawaii but now based with his family in Australia, John certainly has the gift of the gab....he is a true ambassador and we were truly honoured to finally meet him and hang out for a bit...We are looking forward to heading down to Melbourne soon and going out with John and his family to a few of his favourite restaurants....Italian....mmmmm!!!

Andy, Kano and Slats....
Andy Slater, and D'Arcy Surfboards team riders Harry Slater (Slats) and Kanato (Kano) visit the D'Arcy Factory...Kano is visiting from Japan for 3 months and surfs every day....he absolutely rips out there and Harry is teaching him a thing or two about Australia...thanks for being on the team guys...you make us proud!!
